What Happened In the Days I Was Away

Debating isn't easy. It's not all about the mindless arguing and such. Anyways. A short summary. (because I know a lot of people missed me. -^^-)

Day 1
I've never been up so early before. Not gonna do it again anytime soon, FYI. So anyhow, we had to wait for an hour for the briefing to start. Turned out one of the school had pulled out without notifying KDU. (So inconsiderate -huffs-) Anyways, they had to pulled a 'swing team' to replace that school. Oh, and is 'Tsun' really that hard to pronounce? But I digress.

Round one: Swing Team vs Tsun Jin

We won. But as I've said, they weren't real debaters, usually spectators who just came to skip school. Oh, or sometimes reserves.

Round two: Tsun Jin vs -insert random weirdo school name here-

It was obviously our win, but the adjudicator is a demented mental case. She had pointed out that the opposition had no solid point and was ridiculously off-topic. After a load of BS, she gave them the finger. No, not the middle one, though I felt a sudden strong urge to do that to her. Somehow, in an extremely weird way that normal people can't follow, they won the round.

That team was as silent as we were. Even more so, actually.

But I digress. Again.

Round three: Sri KDU vs Tsun Jin

The motion was probably the only one that did not involve sex/sexual organs. (there was one on castration, I kid you not) Anyways, it was on Malaysia selling water to Singapore. Wong Yong didn't even know that we sold water to them. We got trashed so hard, they felt guilty and apologized to us after we got chased out of the room. Wow.

Day 2
Round four: Catholic Team B vs Tsun Jin

It was so unfair, getting opposition three times out of four. -sniffs- But I'll skip this one, because it wasn't very important. We lost by 0.5, just in case you wanted to know.

Quarter Finals:

We skipped and went to Subang Parade for McD's. What, you expected us to digest the rubber food they have there? No thanks. I want no risk of stomach cancer. Actually we were aiming for Sunway, but somehow we turned into Subang Parade. Whatever.

Bought The Demigod Files.
I used Creepy Jeffrey's credit card 'cuz I didn't have enough money. Of course I paid him back on Friday. Ming Li and Wong Yong were talking about Twilight and left me spazzing out from the Twilight germs.

Semi Finals:

KDU gave us a very interesting and exciting match. They were awesome but they'd be even more so if they had mentioned bootlegging. It was a pretty good point for rebuttal, if you ask me.

Finals:

I don't know why, but semis intrigue me more than the finals. Finals are usually so disappointing. But this final was pretty good. :] KDU kicks ass. And I love that Andrew Kooh person, he's just so awesome, his favorite words are 'absurd' and 'ridiculous', he looks like a mini-version of Sam and he's a very good whip.

Whoot.

So this is the end to the horribly long post. I think most of you would've left half-way, but whatever. I might.... or might not.... be posting about my trip to Penang.

Depends.
